This fanlisting is for the relationship between Meriadoc 'Merry' Brandybuck and Peregrin 'Pippin' Took, from the Lord of the Rings series of books and movies. Merry and Pippin are cousins, but they're so much more than that - they're friends and companions, and are usually found creating mischief as a pair. They always stand by each others side, no matter what trouble they might get into. They have my favourite relationship in the books and the movies - they're so loyal to each other and it's so wonderful to read or watch :) In the movies, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd play Merry and Pippin respectively, and they definitely do a fantastic job of it.

This site is called 'Looking After You', in case you couldn't tell. It comes from the scene in The Return of the King movie, where Pippin finds Merry on the Pelennor Fields, and the following exchange occurs:
Pippin: Merry, it's me. It's Pippin.
Merry: I knew you'd find me. Are you going to leave me?
Pippin: No Merry, I'm going to look after you.
This scene only appears in the movies, but I thought that it was a perfect name for them. They do look out for each other all of the time, no matter what they're doing. Often, it's Merry looking out for Pippin, as Merry is older, but Pippin takes his turn too, after Merry is hurt in battle. Although a different scene happens in the books, Pippin is still looking out for Merry.
